A Promise Gone Wrong - A Book Review
I’ve been reading a book called A Promise Gone Wrong by xXTheBelieverXx. It is about a high school couple who have broken up due to some trust issues, but still really love each other. However, they are not sure how the other feels, and each try to get the other back. This leads to series of jealousy games, chases, and close encounters, all in one summer before their senior year. As each move through their own crises, they slowly find themselves gravitating toward each other again.
The book can be found on Wattpad.com and is undergoing editing, so it is filled with little grammatical errors and spellchecks. However, despite the petty errors, the book is well-written and has deep character development. The plot moves somewhat slowly, but that only adds to the suspense and waiting for them to get back together. I highly suggest this book to any fans of a good teenage romance story. It is cute, yet deep and romantic, and delves into each character’s past, present, and potential future. However, it does require a little maturity, as said in the description on the book on its site. It is the second book of the Gone Wrong series by the author, though, so I suggest reading the first book, A Bet Gone Wrong before you read this book to get the full story. All in all, this book was a giant page-turner and kept me up till the crack of dawn reading it, and I cannot wait to start the next book in the series, A Year Gone Wrong. I give it a rate of 4.5 stars out of 5.
